Replacing the Auger Cable/Rod on a Two Stage Snow Blower

The auger cable engages the auger and impeller on a two stage snow blower. If it is bent or broken, the auger and impeller will not rotate when you push down on the control lever.

Step 1:

Disconnect the spark plug and remove the ignition key

Step 2:

Remove the cotter pin

Step 3:

Remove the cable from the control

Step 4:

Disconnect the spring from control arm

To Install The New Cable:

Step 1:

Place spring hook through the hole in the control arm

Step 2:

Then connect the control arm to the control lever

Step 3:

Re-insert the cotter pin
