Replacing the Skid Shoes on a Husqvarna Two Stage Snow Blower

The Skid Shoes slide along the ground to protect the sides of the auger housing from damage. They also allow you to adjust the clearance between the scraper blade and the ground.

Step 1:

Remove the ignition key

Step 2:

Lift the auger housing and support it with a block of wood

Step 3:

Remove the bolts

Step 4:

Place the new skid shoe on to auger housing and insert the bolts

Step 5:

Before fully tightening, adjust the skid shoes to your desired height

Step 6:

once they are properly adjusted, fully tighten the bolts
