I have an EZ GO golf cart with a Subaru 2 cylinder engine. EZ GO wants $230 for their pump (p/n 72873G01). Jacks doesn't list this (or any) pump as a replacement for my application, but the picture looked (nearly) identical, the pump mounts on a large, flat surface (so adapting the mounting wouldn't be a problem), & it makes no sense that one 'pulse type' pump wouldn't work equally well with any engine of comparable displacement; so I gave it a try. It works perfectly well, even the mounting was an exact fit. As best as I can tell by looking & handling it, it seems to be equal quality to the OEM - it is 'probably' the exact pump EZ GO sells for 6x the cost.
The first symptoms I had, I never even contributed to the pump, the engine took much longer to start when warm (on golf carts, the engine dies anytime your foot's not on the throttle, & restarts automatically when you step on the throttle), also after parking it, there was a distinct smell of gasoline (that would go away after ab
