Hot, Must See Robin Engines!| Robin Subaru Ex Series Engines: The EX 17 engine has a bore and stroke of 67 mm x 48 mm, a displacement of 169 cc, is rated 5.7 hp at 4000 rpm, with a peak torque of 8.34 lb.ft. at 2800 rpm. The EX21 engine has a bore and stroke of 67 mm x 60 mm, a displacement of 2l1 cc and is rated 7 hp at 4000 rpm, with peak torque of 10.26 lb.ft. at 2400 rpm. Rounding out the line is the EX27 engine, which has a bore and stroke of 75 mm x 60 mm, an overall displacement of 265 cc, and a rating of 9 hp at 4000 rpm, with a peak torque of 13.74 lb.ft. at 2400 rpm. Not only that but, the new engines are the first Robin Subaru models to incorporate an overhead cam system, along with a redesigned combustion chamber and optimized intake and exhaust ports. Much of the technology of the EX engines was adopted from Subaru's automotive engines. |
