How to Replace the Air Filter on a Honda FG 110 Mini Tiller

Did you know that you should clean your air filter roughly ever 25 hours of use?

It is very important that you keep your air filter clean, if not, it could decrease your engine’s power.

Just in case you don’t know how to change your air filter, or just need a little refresher, here’s how.

Step 1:

Close choke.

Step 2:

Remove air filter cover.

Step 3:

Inspect air filter element.

Step 4:

Should be clean with a light sheen of oil on it.

Step 5:

If filter is dirty or overly dry, clean it with soapy water.

Step 6:

Place clean dry air filter into a plastic bag.

Step 7:

Pour a small amount of air filter oil into the bag and seal it.

Step 8:

Gently massage the oil into the filter.

Step 9:

Remove the filter from the bag and place it on a clean rag.

Step 10:

Press out any excess oil.

Step 11:

Wipe filter mounting surface with a clean rag.

Step 12:

Install filter 3 holes in the filter should line up with 3 pegs on the base.

Step 13:

The filter should be flush with the mounting surface.

Step 14:

Re-install the cover.


Changing the air filter in your Honda tiller is a very easy form of maintenance, be sure to check the owner’s manual to see what kind of air filter you need and how often you should change it!
