Replacing the Auger Paddles on a Honda HS520 Snow Blower

Watch our video on how to replace the auger paddles on a Honda HS520 single stage snow blower.

The auger paddles on a single stage snowblower come in direct contact with the ground when clearing snow. After many uses, the rubber auger paddles will wear down and will need to be replaced.

Step 1:

Remove the ignition key

Step 2:

Disconnect spark plug

Step 3:

Tilt snowblower back so it rests on it’s handles for support

Step 4:

Each auger has 3 sections, loosen the nuts and bolts that connect them to each metal support and remove the side and center sections

Step 5:

Once you have removed all 3 sections, re-install the new paddles in the same position — insert the middle first, and then the sides

Step 6:

Be sure that the auger paddles are secure
