Replacing the Skid Shoes on a Honda Two Stage Snow Blower

The skid shoes slide along the ground to protect the sides of the auger housing from damage. They also allow you to adjust the clearance between the scraper blade and the ground.

Step 1:

Remove the ignition key before servicing

Step 2:

Remove the bolts that secure the skid shoe to the auger housing

Step 3:

Slid the new skid shoe back over the bolts

Step 4:

Re-install the washers and nuts

Step 5:

Do not fully tighten the nuts until you have picked the desired height setting for the skid shoe, after you have decided, fully tighten the nuts.
