OK, I get it. Briggs and Stratton doesn't rate by HP anymore. But can someone tell me an approximation of what the horsepower is for the 190cc 6.75 engine. What I have noticed is that newer lawn mowers are just not as powerful as the old ones. They easily stop if the grass is just a little too high. It's very frustrating. thanks for any help you can give. Paul D.


Paul, given a 6.75 ft. lbs torque rating and using a torque to horsepower conversion chart, this engine could be said to have an approximate horsepower of 4.0 HP.
