Quick delivery. Right part, fair price. Just what you want from a supplier.
Good customer service and the correct part was purchased
The electric starter works well. Jacks Small Engines website was very good and I would definitely use them again for such purchases. Attachment bolts that came with the starter kit were not good. They had small/shallow heads that were difficult to turn with a wrench (or anything else). The starter had metal tabs with holes drilled in them, to attach to the engine block. These holes did not line up with those in my Tescumseh engine block, so I had to drill larger holes in the tabs to adjust for that.
Shipping time for the part was too long. It took 5 days to get from Jarrettsville, Maryland (less than an hour drive from my house). It was shipped via UPS and USPS carriers and went from Jarrettsville to Baltimore, to West Virginia before arriving at my home in Mount Airy, Maryland. That wasn't Jacks Small Engine's fault, however.
Without this part the snow blower would be finished. It sits on the deck all the time ( it is a large deck ) We live at 8000 ft in the Sierra and it dumps 2-5 feet at times. I ordered the part and it came within the week. can't ask for more than that, it is a long way from Maryland to Nevada.
Thanks again for the service
We gave them our snow blower info and they provided the parts we needed. Delivery was prompt and the parts fit perfectly. Would go to Jakes again for any engine parts.
did the job
Ok this is the 2ond time I have done this.
I am pleased with starter, it fit and worked perfectly the first time. We have had no snow in Missoula yet so a more significant test is yet to be tried. Cold always makes a difference on starting engines.
The only thing I found that would have made it easier was the starter button cord could have been long enough to mount the plug on the control panel. I had to make a bracket and mount the starter button and plug on the engine.
