How to Adjust the Drive Control for a Husqvarna HU800AWD
The following instructions are for the Husqvarna HU800AWD Lawn Mower, which is for the part number 96145001100. Before attempting to work on/with your equipment in any way, always refer to your owner’s manual for safety information.
Over time, the drive control system may become “loose” resulting in decreased speed. There is a turnbuckle on the drive control housing to increase tension on the drive cable.
- Turn the unit off, disconnect the spark plug wire from the plug.
- Rotate the turnbuckle on drive control to increase the drive speed.
- Operate the mower to test drive speed, readjust as required.
- If the condition fails to improve after the above steps (forward speed remains the same), your drive belt is worn and should be replaced.
