How to Change the Oil in a Briggs and Stratton Power Flow Pressure Washer
You may be wondering how to change the oil in your pressure washer, if it’s your first time or just need a reminder, here are some steps to help you out!
Step 1:
Run the pressure washer until the fuel tank is empty
Step 2:
Disconnect the spark plug wire from the spark plug and be sure they are far enough away from each other that they cannot make contact
Step 3:
Clean the area around the oil fill tube and remove the cap and dipstick, wipe the dipstick clean
Step 4:
Tip your pressure washer so that you can drain the oil from the oil fill tube tip the unit away from the spark plug, once it is empty, place it back in the upright position
Step 5:
Slowly pour the recommended amount of oil into the oil fill opening. Let the oil settle and check the level, it should be on the top hole of the dipstick.
Step 6:
Wipe the dipstick clean each time you check the oil, if it does not reach the correct level, slowly add more oil but do not overfill
Step 7:
Replace and tighten the dipstick
Step 8:
Be sure to wipe up any spilled oil
Step 9:
Reconnect the spark plug wire to the spark plug
Be sure to check your owner’s manual to find out how often you should be changing the oil in your equipment and what kind you should be using!
