How to Remove a Mower Deck for an Ariens Apex
The following instructions are for the Ariens Apex, which are for the Apex 48 #991153, and Apex 52 #991155 mower models. Before attempting to work on/with your equipment in any way, always refer to your owner’s manual for safety information.
- Place the unit in service position.
- Set the deck to the lowest cutting height.
- Position supports, such as wood blocks, under the mower deck.
- Remove the PTO belt.
- Slowly disconnect the lift-assist springs from the spring peg on each side of the deck.
- Remove the hardware retaining drag links to the frame.
- Remove the hardware retaining deck lift links to deck the lift brackets.
- Remove the deck from under the unit.
