How to Replace the Air Filter in a Simplicity Broadmoor Lawn Tractor

The air filter in your lawn tractor can get dirty quick. And if the air filter is dirty, your engine isn’t going to run as good as it should be running.

Luckily, checking and replacing the air filter is a very easy task and it takes no time at all!

What you will need:

  • Simplicity Broadmoor Lawn Tractor
  • New Air Filter

Removing the Air Filter:

Step 1:

Unscrew and remove the cover.

Step 2:

Remove the air cleaner assembly and disassemble it, be sure to clean up any debris that could potentially get into the carburetor throat. At this time you should also inspect the pre-cleaner and cartridge to determine if either is too dirty or damaged to be reused.

Cleaning the Pre-Cleaner:

Step 1:

Wash the pre-cleaner in soapy water with liquid detergent.

Step 2:

Squeeze the pre-filter dry in a clean cloth.

 

Cleaning the Cartridge:

Step 1:

Tap the cartridge gently on a flat surface to remove light debris, do not attempt any other cleaning on the cartridge.

 

Re-Installing the Air Filter:

Step 1:

Re-assemble cartridge and pre-cleaner and insert into base

Step 3:

Replace the cover and screws.

It’s as simple as that! Now your mower should be back to running at full power again!
