Replacing the Auger Belts on an Ariens Two Stage Snow Blower

The auger belts drive the impeller and augers to churn through and blow snow. If the belts become too worn and break, the auger and impeller will stop rotating.
Step 1:
Remove the ignition key
Step 2:
Loosen the bolts and remove the belt cover
Step 3:
Disconnect the chute crank and deflector cable
Step 4:
Remove frame housing bolts (there are 2 on each side)
Step 5:
Remove the belt finger
Step 6:
Remove the auger belts from pulleys
Step 7:
Separate auger housing from frame
Step 8:
Remove bolts on the swing plate assembly and remove the drive belt
Step 9:
Loop the new drive belt around the drive pulleys
Step 10:
Re-install the spacers and bolts on the swing plate assembly
Step 11:
Re-connect the idler pulley spring
Step 12:
Re-attach the housing to the pivot rod on the frame
Step 13:
Slide the belts over the pulleys
Step 14:
Re-install the frame housing bolts
Step 15:
Re-install the belt finger
Step 16:
Re-attach the belt cover
Step 17:
Re-install the chute crank
Step 18:
Re-connect the deflector cable
