How to Clean the Mower Deck on a Husqvarna Walk Behind Mower

Your lawn just isn’t a clean cut as it used to be, is it you? is it the grass? Probably not.

Built up grass in the mower deck could be the culprit!

Here is a quick guide to help you clean out your mower deck and get your mower back on track to cutting grass like it did when it was brand new!

Things you will need:

Husqvarna walk behind mower
Flat, hard surface
Hose

Step 1:

Move your lawnmower to an already cut area of grass or other hard surface.

Step 2:

Remove the grass catcher from your lawn mower if you have one.

Step 3:

Close the mulcher door.

Step 4:

Connect a garden hose to the fitting on the top of your mower housing.

Remember: Do not run your hose under the mower!

Step 5:

Turn on the water and check for leaks around the fitting.

Step 6:

Start lawn mower engine.

Step 7:

Let water run until the mower housing is clean.

Step 8:

Shut off the mower engine.

Step 9:

Turn off water and remove the hose from the fitting.

Step 10:

Start mower engine and run for 1 minute.

See, I told you it wasn’t you! It was all of that grass clumped up under your mowers housing! Now that it is nice and clean be sure to repeat these steps after every use to keep your mower running like new!
